Cage Championships XII was held in Sullivan, MO. this past weekend and was an exciting show. It featured 10 MMA bouts with two of them being title fights. The show was sanctioned by the Combat Sports Commission, a new sanctioning body here in Missouri.

   Patrick Smith is the promoter for Cage Championships and did an excellent job, once again putting on a great show.

Ron Cook the creator of the Combat Sports Commission ran things very well, as everything was in order and on time.

   The main event of the evening featured two undefeated fighters in Jason McVey 5-0 vs. Trey Houston 8-0 and was for the Combat Sports Commission Southeast Regional Light Heavyweight Title and the Cage Championship Light Heavyweight Title. This was one of the most entertaining fights of the night with both fighters deserving the belt, but on this night McVey proved to be the better man winning this contest at 1:29 of round 2 by referee stoppage (TKO from Strikes).

    Cage Championships is a great promotion that really sets the standard for MMA in Missouri, and as an up and coming santioning body Combat Sports Commission did a great job and is sure to be around for a long time.
